I had considered the ignition panel and I may have to do that, I was just hoping to have it close line of sight while driving.
I have a 21 trx and am about to add a bobs action jac. I'm not sure where I can mount the gauge due to having a dual console Mount from bass boat technologies.
Any ideas? I'm thinking I might...
I didn't think it was a waste either and it's my first priority. I'm still getting a tempest though regardless. I guess I'll just get the same pitch I have now
Well I almost have the money saved up to buy a tempest plus but I'm not sure which pitch. I have a 23 fury now but I read that it might behoove me to get a different size in the tempest. What do you...
I just did my install on a 21 trx which i think is the same layout and I put it in the starboard locker. I got lucky and didn't need to add cable to the factory power cord.
I'm sitting at less than 2% drop so I'm happy. especially with how easy it was to rig. Im sure you're correct but I'm not worried about it
Oh well I guess. I'm sure the duplex I ran is gonna work out
Honestly I dumb so it's probably why but that sticky seems more complicated than what I ran. Do you pull individual wires? This is a serious question. It was very easy to just pull 10 gauge duplex...
I finished it today. Didn't follow that guide you posted but sort of close. I ran 8 gauge to a fuse block then 10 gauge to each unit. No shared grounds but other than that what I did is pretty much...
They don't but heavier gauge wire has less voltage drop
Yes it was much cheaper. I just finished it up today. Ran 8 gauge to fuse block under console then 10 gauge to each unit. Saved a pile of money
Code still works
i am going to use a 25 amp switchable circuit breaker for that
After doing some more research I've pretty much decided to go the fuse block route. I have plenty of room for one under the console. I'll just run 8 gauge from the battery to the block, then run 10...
I had considered that as well. My concern when I was planning this circuit was maybe running into issues wiring 2 graphs plus the live scope into the same power cable. From the research I've done ,...
If I do add a fuse block I'd just 86 the inline fuse in the power cables, I was just always told not to do that. I might call lowrance and Garmin and see what they say about it. I like the idea of...
Yeah that's where I priced mine from
Well, I hadn't considered a fuse block to be honest. Would that mean removing the fuses from the power cables if each unit? I e been warned not to do that.
Also, the circuit breaker is how I plan...
I'm about to add some electronics to my boat and wanted to see what y'all think about this planned wiring setup.
I plan to run 8 gauge wire from a dedicated 100 ah lithium battery up to the bow...

Yes, I'm measuring from the lowest point in the hull
I'm not sure if the shop I go to can do that but I'll ask them. Either way, 4.5 p2p is still too much. Other guys I fish with tell when they pass me that my boat doesn't get up out of the water...
Well, I can accept i measured wrong. I leveled the boat. I leveled the motor. centerline of prop to ground is 10 inches. From ground to bottom of pad is 14.5 inches. Did I miss something? I thought...
Well, the manual I have does not. As soon as I get the money saved I'll be getting a hydraulic. I don't think I've ever run into anyone saying they are a waste, let alone 2 someone's in one thread.
