I shortened mine too. I used a Dremel wheel and aluminum like Wayne did. I think it looks better being shorter...

You have a 5 port switch by chance?
Also, check the cables from the transducer and make sure there aren't any cracks/splits.

No sir I don't. I know there are a few things the user can do/update on the RIDE system, but not 100% sure if this is one of them or not. It might require another trip to the dealer.

ReelEx has retired and is no longer serving reels if that's who you're referring to.
The only issues I've heard of is the jackplate and trim not reading after the installation, just make sure everything is operating as it should before you leave your dealer...

I would definitely not get the hub unless it's needed, I've had issues with them in the past (older model/version hub).
I have my three Apex units linked together just with the ethernet cables....
I prefer Live on top, 360 on bottom
