I've had this same hub on two different trailers and never had that problem. Are you sure the zerk is causing the hole or is it just an old rubber cap? There's a small gap between my zerk and the cap...

An ⅛th of what dose gummy did you take? When is the test? Sounds like a very small dose so if the test isn't for a week or two you should be fine. Drink lots of water in the meantime.

I have found a Blood Knot to be the best at going through the guides because the tag ends are terminated in the middle of the knot and, once set, can be trimmed very close.

I tie on a longer leader so the knot doesn't go through the guides until the end of the cast. I always use the Uni to Uni knot and believe it is the easiest to tie and most reliable.
