A thermometer is nice but you can get by without it. If you are using a microwave, be patient and heat with short bursts. On cold, new plastisol I start with one minute then reduce to 30-45 second...
I fish an EWG VMC hook so it is weedless. My shaky rods are 7.5’. I try to cross their eyes when I set the hook.

Do you pour plastics? I think I can get a hold of a knockoff mold.
I tried several and wasn’t happy with any of them so I modified a Midwest finesse mold to take a VMC hook and make it weedless. That’s what I use now.
I have no experience with those jigs. The jigs that have been working best for me on smallmouth is the Jewell Pee Wee jig. I bought some, they worked great so now I am making my own.

I’d look at Rapid Roberts. That’s where I buy mine.
Same here.
I prefer rubber over silicone. It has lots more action.
No I have not because it is built in and I am too old to get under the console plus electronics labor is $115/hr and as stated I am done spending money on this issue.
My console Solix G2 10 started showing low voltage and would shut off sometimes when I started the motor. I had a 4 year old North Star X2 so I bought a new one. The problem persisted. Cat Fan was...
I followed SLYDoggie’s instructions. I did not save any Nav data as I have a clean copy which was edited by a Hbird programmer a while back. Everything looks good but time will tell for sure.

It has its own map card.
I have 3 Gen 2 Solix units. They are powered by a Lithium battery and receiving 12.8 to 13 volts. They are Ethernet connected. My Solix Gen 2 Cho is mostly used for mapping and three times in as...
I still have a lot and use them some but not as much as I used to.
If you want to get creative look up cadman and brush tapping powder paint. It should take you to a discussion where he explains how he does it. He is a master at this craft.
The Dirty Jigs guppy head super glued is the beat one I have used to keep them from slipping.
Mine get turned on in the parking lot and turned off in the parking lot.
My X2 wouldn’t handle my one boat network so I added a 100 ah lithium for the electronics.
You mention fraying but never specified if it is the standing line above the knot or the tag end of the braid that is fraying. If it is the tag end you can burn the tip of it with a lighter and stop...
This goes with me in a friend’s boat or is in mine when I fish. I’ve never had any problems, but I don’t put used jig heads back in it either.

I don’t have that mold but anytime I have had demolding problems I have been able to fix them with Frankfort Arsenal drop out spray which I get from Zeiner’s in Wichita, KS.

On my dial calipers it measures 0.026. If you are going to make your own, I use 22 gauge galvanized wire which measures 0.029.
