I messed up my left wrist years ago doing push-ups. With that said with the use of some sort of a push-up bar I think I could do 500 well within the 4hr time period.

Not interested anymore but I used to do 25 push ups then 25 sit ups 24 push ups 24 sit ups and count all the way down thats 325 of each done it daily started while wrestling in high school. I quit when I messed my back up couldn't or wouldn't even consider it now.
Can't bend my elbows all the way anymore. Was doing semi pushups 3 sets of 75 using 2 chairs before work every day. Now I can't do 20 without getting a headache after my brain bruise.
There's a video of Herschel Walker doing a motivational speech at a military base where he talks about growing up a shy overweight kid. He got into a regimen doing 5000 pushups a day and sit-ups . Never lifted weights. Worth the watch.

Well after having my shoulder redone I would love to do 20 without it hurting......
I could do that easy when I was 22. It would take a month for me to do that now.
I'll try in a week or 2. Right elbow is hurting right now.

I started doing push ups at my old job a few years ago when I had a few seconds to spare. Started with 20 at a time the first week then 30, 40 and 50. At the end of the first day I had done 465 push ups. On the last day of week 4 I done 850, no problem.
Doesn’t sound that difficult to be honest with you. I do 100 push-ups and 50 pull-ups all the time just in the garage when I don’t have a ton of time to do anything else. Guessing it takes me 5 minutes to do the push-ups and about the same to do the pull-ups. 500 pull-ups and 500 push-ups would be a good challenge combined in that time frame.
I had to do push-ups in the Corps . now i just carry.
500 not with my shoulders.
Working on the Lumber Mills I would do 25 Regular Pushups, then 25 with my Right arm Only, then 25 with my Left Arm Only, then 25 Regular again.
Been Years since I did that and no way I could now. Age and Injuries does that to ya.
I'll stick to the weights and be done in an hour.
Nope. I sound too much like the Rice Krispy Guys..

HA! One of the things I remember from Basic at Fort Leonard Wood was one of the drill sergeants telling us we we're going to push the fort to China by the time we finished Basic. That was 1975, dunno if Basic is the still the same as to doing pushups, but we did hundreds everyday, not all at once of course, 20 here, 30 there.
