    1999 Ficht 225

I'm Purchasing a Low Hours 1999 Ficht 225 minus the lower unit. I was given 6 individual videos of compression tests. Every hole was almost exactly 9bar (130.5 psi). I was told the motor was a package deal and the buyer knew the ECU/EMM was bad. The buyer of the boat just repowered and gave the motor to the person I'm buying it from. That being said, I'm getting in it cheap enough that if it doesn't work out I can sell the tilt/trim and make money. The ECU/EMM was verified dead from an Evinrude dealer. No spark ect.. I plan on sending ECU off to get repaired/updated. If it all works out, I have 2 lower units that will fit. What do I do next? The motor hasn't run in 4-5 years. Send injectors off for testing? Your suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

I have a 1999 Ficht 200 with a bad EMM no spark. I couldn't find anyone to repair the EMM and give me warranty because it was a 1999. 2000 and up was no problem.

I picked up the motor today. It’s in really good shape for not running in years. There has been absolutely zero recall work done to this motor. With all 6 cylinders 130psi and zero recall/warranty work done, I’m wondering if the original owner had ecu go out very early on and packed the boat in the garage until he sold it about 4 years ago. I’ll find out for sure what the hours are once I run diagnostics.
