    90 HP Merc 2 Stroke

I have a 90 HP merc 2 stroke where you mix oil and gas. I noticed after changing the water pump and running it in a barrel a few days later I noticed this oil on the toolbox. I checked foot oil it was full with no water. To me it looks like I burnt oil fuel mixture. Can anyone tell me if this is normal?

It looks like black burnt fuel oil mixture coming from a water outlet hole in front of motor closest to the boat. Is this normal?

it is most likely oil fuel mix , possible rich running engine at low speed ,cyl not firring, carb flooding , fuel pump leaking internally , 2 stroke engines waste a lot of unburned fuel through the exhaust not seen when running in lake , some fuel may be seen in exhaust when engine is ran on hose or tank , carbs may need adjustment to lean side just a smidge ,,,,,,,, good luck JOE

+1 to Posts #5 and #6. Nearly 1/3 of the fuel ends up scavenged out the exhaust before it can even ignite.
