I don't use my tools for a living so Ryobi 18v one+ tools have worked very well for me for a very long time. I have the heavy duty Ryobi 1/2 brushless impact and it is awesome. Plenty of power and reasonable price.
Ryobi makes several 1/2" impacts so be sure to look at the PBLIW01B
That is the high power model. It has an auto setting which is handy. It might not last as long as a "Professional" Grade Impact but for my use it will more than outlive me.
