Skeeter SX 180 Talon install

Has anyone installed Talons on a Skeeter SX 180? If so what mounts and if on a jack plate what size. I purchased a pair but it does look like they will clear the pontoons on the transom. Any assistance would be appreciated. 2009 SX 180 w/ Yamaha 115 four stroke W/O jack plate.

The Minn Kota Talon mounts are adjustable with the angle. What you need to decide is if you want the sandwich mount that fits in-between the motor/jackplate or the side mount that attaches to the side of the jackplate. The side mount is the most popular because you don't have to remove the engine, however some jackplates may have to be modified or possibly may not be compatible for the side mount. But as for the angle they will adjust to clear the sponson.

Although this is not a Skeeter you can see how they are adjustable...

I think you will find yourself very disappointed with the performance of your 180 after adding a talon setup especially w a 115.
