Disappointed in Zillion

I have 2 Tatula ct type r’s 6.3/1 , 2 2017 Tatula 103 sv’s 6.3/1 , a 2020 tatula 103 sv 7.3/1 , and a Zillion sv 8.5/1.
All of the Tatula’s are smother and turn more freely than the Zillion.
All the Tatula sv’s will out cast the Zillion with 5/16 oz crankbaits.
The Tatula sv’s and the ct type r’s will cast just as far as the Zillion with 1/2 oz lures.
So have I got a bad zillion ? Other than the double supported pinion on the Zillion , what ever that’s really worth I don’t see the allure .

Did you receive it NIB or used? Regardless, sounds like it needs to be opened up and cleaned out of it's new and overgreased, or torn down, cleaned up and given a full service if it was used

When you’re talking used, it’s hard to tell how used something really was when you got it. Brand new, Zillions are definitely nicer than Tatulas. Have you taken the bearings out and spun them? If it is the bearings (yes they do wear and/or corrode), and you like the reel enough to invest a little more in it, ceramic bearings will bring it to life. I’m not super familiar with the makings of the SV system, but if something is wonky there, it’ll never cast like it should. I’ve noticed that there are some small parts on the spool spindle in that area. If someone took it apart and put it back together a little off, it probably won't work like it should.

That has not been my experience with the Zillions, they are a definite step above the Tatula which is a good reel.

I have 6 Zillions. No problems with them, but they were bought new though.
