Trolling A-Rigs on Diamond Valley Lake for Stripers - How To?

i would like to add trolling A-Rigs to my arsenal of striper catching techniques. I currently flycore using 18# lead core with a floro leader and my own custom tied flies. I'd like to troll an A-rig as my second rod.

I'm new to trolling A-Rigs so I'm looking for some set-up and technique advice.

Swimbait colors that work on DVL are Smokin Shad, White Pearl, and Albino.

Since I will not use a down rigger at this time....what line/reel/rod set up would work?

DVL is a deep lake and most Striper bites happen at approx. 40' depth on average.

    Thanks!

Try using 2 3/8's oz A-Rigs hooked together end to end for a bigger profile and added weight to take it down deeper and keep it there.
