    Triton breaker upgrade

My son recently upgraded his trolling motor on his 18sf to a Garmin Force. His boat has a 50amp breaker and when on high for any period it throws a breaker. He is running it on 24 . It looks like 6 gauge wire would it be possible to upgrade to a 60 amp breaker without any problem? Thanks in advance!
