    Spot Lock noise

I was watching a tx on tv the other day and noticed every time the angler would operate the tm it would make a noticeable noise. Was that the Spot Lock and if so are they all noisy?

Anything that uses a servo for steering will have some level of noise--some worse than others, and some are quiet for fine adjustments while noisier for quick and large adjustments.

Sometimes I wonder if the noisy steering of the Ultrex is spooking the fish when you need to be sneaky.

Treat others like you want to be treated when on the water EVEN WHEN IN A TOURNAMENT! No fish is worth having a confrontation because you cut someone off or came in on top of someone.

John Cox and Keith Carson would probably agree that they do.

That servo noise is above the waterline and doesn't seem to spook fish. Larger quick movements make the most noise.

I tend to wonder that as well with my early 2010s Terrova, which can be a problem in calm water spider rigging.

The Move is the quietest of them all on spotlock.

When my Ultrex goes up in smoke I REALLY want one of those because I hear it's the cat's meow out of the available options. I'm going to hold on to my Ultrex for as long as possible for price reasons.
