    Skeeter warranty sucks!

I own a 2021 zx150 that I bought new. Brought the boat to my dealer for some warranty work. Gas filler neck had ripped out of the hole. Passenger side battery compartment hatch had become warped and where the 2 hatches meet a silver dollar sized piece of gel coat came off. Skeeter denied my claim saying that cosmetic issues have a 1 year warranty. Well the cosmetic issue was caused by the hatch. They don't care! Denied claim. Gas filler they claimed was abuse. My dealer, Last Chance Performance marine is repairing it out of their pocket. Fantastic dealer taking care of their customer. I guess my next boat will be a phoenix or bass cat.

the problems that you have mentioned dont really sound like warranty issues with what you have explained you would have the same outcomes with other manufactures warranty is not fixing all problems with boats for free . want to wish you good luck with your next boat builder.

Sorry for your issues. What gel coat are you talking about around the livewell area where the two hatches meet. l its where I'm thinking those areas are carpeted or metal?

How does a fill hose fir fuel just work it's way out of the hull?

Mark, looks like on the ZX150 the back deck is fiberglass not metal like it's bigger brothers

It's the back battery compartment, where the 2 hatches meet. The passenger side was warped and dug into the gel coat on the inside lip that the hatch sits on.

Also the screws that hold the filler ripped out of the fiberglass.

It really is a bummer because I love the boat. The way I was treated and talked to by skeeter customer service was deplorable.

the good news is you can fix it an sell it while the market is still good the bad news is if you dont take care of your boat you will still have problems just with another boat company.

I hate to hear that. I bought a new Zx150 in 2021 that Skeeter ended up replacing with a 2022 due to the same problem happening 3 times. It wasn’t an easy process but ended well. Good luck.

When did you buy the boat? And did you buy an extended warranty?

I expect more to the story than told.

Best news: Dealer is taking care of. When complete, sell, or keep, the boat as best suits you.
