Is this the right rod?? 7’6” MF-H

Looking at picking up a St. Croix Mojo Bass Trigon rod to use for flipping lay downs, lily pads, and maybe some larger soft swimbaits here and there. I had my eyes set on a 7’6” fast action heavy power rod. I know a lot of people recommend rods that lean a little on the moderate side of fast for flipping, but would a St. Croix moderate-fast be too slow? Or am I just overthinking this.

I typically use 50-65# braid to 16-20# flouro leader.

I think you will be fine since flipping and pitching are usually shorter distances anyway. Also, with braid + heavy leader you should also be fine with hook setting with the heavy power rating, even with a mod-fast.
