HDS 9- need help!

First time Lowrance owner here and need some help figuring out why my the HDS 9 I have is not reading the depth? I’m wondering if maybe there is a setting off, the unit needs to be reset, or possibly a bad transducer cable?

What tranducer are you using to read depth?

2 items to be aware of assuming you have the transducer type set correctly in installation these next items are the most common The sonar channel 1 or 2 is turned on, you have set the data source to the proper unit/transducer Pages/Settings/network/data source/sonar and then on the sonar page menu you have selected the transducer you want to use at the moment

Without knowing the generation HDS or what transducer(s) you have, the typical cause for not seeing depth is not choosing correct source for depth.
