    Motorguide varimax trolling motor won’t go in reverse

    Have a 12v 55lb that won’t go in reverse now . Any thoughts on fixes ?

    Inside the head is a magnet on the handle. It changes the troll motor from fwd to rev. The has unglued itself from the handle. Be Careful when messing with it because the parts are fradule.

    I'll put this out. Start looking for a new troll motor. You can't get may part for this troll motor anymore. Maybe on eBay, but that is a long shot.

    Yes Forward in reverse works on that magnet. If the magnet fell off while you went forward then it will stay in forward until you glue the magnet back on.
