Thought maybe this way we could build a good set up base for others to use.

2004 HP200 running a Yamaha 150HPDI(between 80-90hrs) and 21M prop...roughly 3-3.5 below pad still playing around with the jackplate....the fastest yet was roughly 52-53 on the GPS..at about 6000-6150 according to the gauge averaging 49-50 most times...hoping to try a 23M or so prop and get a little more speed...may install a Hydrotec Phase 2 kit next year if the wife lets me...cheaper than buying a new motor...

Welcome Scott
I'm no expert but that sound pretty good for a 75hp. Do you have a tach? What numbers are you getting on it?
How are you measuring your hieght?

tach is 5000, with boat level and motor level measuring from prop shaft to ground and bottom of pad to ground than subtracting the measurement from prop shaft to ground from pad to ground. if that makes any scents.
love my boat just would like to see 45mph. this is my 2nd G3 I had a 99 pro 185 with a 90 hp Yamaha ( got hit from behind on I 310 coming home from Ruddock
in June of 2000 by a drunk driver. totaled my new boat, of coarse she had no insurance!!! her 3rd DWI.

Wow, don't think I have heard of anyone else running there prop that high you must getting good bite out of it. Could have the prop fine tuned by mark but dont think you will see 45mph.
How is hole shot? Any porpousing?
With the prop shaft at 2.5 half the prop would just about be out of the water running wouldnt it? Seems like it would be slipping like mad. How far can you trim up running full out?
How is the weight distrabution in the boat?

guys scottG3eagle175, is my neighbor and a good friend finally got him on this site now he is addicted like me
don't worry scott after hydro tech kit you will gain some mph
I have a 2010 g3 1756sc with a yamaha four stroke 70 hp. Turns 6200 rpms and runs 35-37 mph on gps with an aluminum prop. I have a minn-kota maxxum 80lb trolling motor on the front. Love it.
2001 MV Pro 175 w 70 HP Yamaha.
I believe stock prop was 13 5/8" X 15" I got it up to 42 MPH at 5800 RPM with just myself, but I weigh 275 lbs.
I put on a slightly larger S.S. prop and get a slightlt better holeshot but less top ens ans if I don't watch the tach, it will go over 6000 RPM.
When all else fails, go fishing.
2006 G3 Eagle 185 w/yamaha VMAX 150
Got to take it out for the 3rd time today.
2 men, gear, half tank of gas
59 mph
5500 rpm
I'm a new boater and it amazed me at the impact of bumping the trim up just right.
1999 175 Pro 75HP Yami 2 stroke. 13x15p Powertech Semi Clever polished SS prop. No jackplate on the boat at 5600 RPM with 2 guys and a full tournament load I get 37.5MPH on GPS. Just me and some gear plus a good hefty tank of gas I get 39MPH. Pretty sure with a bit less chop and a bit less gas I'll get 40MPH with myself and my gear.
2010 Eagle 190, 150 HPDI with a 23 3 blade Yamaha prop. 55mph at 5500 rpm.
