Z520 Under Step storage

I found a pelican case that fits nicely under that step on my z22.

I have a 08 z520 and yes that space under the step is wasted space l don't know why ranger didn't incorporate that into a step/ storage I'm going to make one for mine eventually someday when I get the time l have a welder so I'm probably going to make mine out of aluminum and carpet it to match or you could try using the black marine board it's strong weather resistant and you can cut it with a regular saw and glue and screw it probably the way to go if you don't have access to a welder

When I did a seat conversion from a full bench seat to 2 single seats, I had to build a seat base. I used Marine 1/2" plywood and covered it with a piece of Linoleum left over from a kitchen remodel. I had some left over so I made a step the same way. I had 3 brackets from an extended deck piece so i used them to mount it. I now store stuff in a plastic Shoe Box under the step. Stays dry and is handy !!
