Was wanting to hand pour some clear swimbaits with blue glitter but they came out a lime green. Any tips before I ruin another batch of plastisol.

Use glitter that is heat resistant. The stuff from Wal-Mart bleeds.

Did you burn the plastic? My son burnt some trying to do clear swimbaits and they came out with a greenish tint.

A thermometer is nice but you can get by without it. If you are using a microwave, be patient and heat with short bursts. On cold, new plastisol I start with one minute then reduce to 30-45 second heats. I remove and stir after each heat cycle until it is the consistency that I want. Then I add my glitter and die, stir and heat for another 30 seconds if necessary or pour.

What Jig Man said. Also after you learn your microwave it will get a lot easier to know how the heat cycle works for the amount of plastic you're heating.

Sounds like the glitter may be bleeding. Did you stick the glitter in when it’s cold.

I heated the plastisol in a microwave using clear 1 or 2 cup measuring cups, THEN add the color and flake. I then used the tin pouring pots, filled as many as it took for what I had heated and kept them on an electric grill set on 300*. It's not advisable to add flake, and then heat.

I've found that heating the plastic to 350, adding colorant and then letting it cool to 325 - 330 before adding flake solves a lot of flake problems.

And don't do large batches of clear. Each time you reheat it yellows a little more.
