    200hp Ficht How do you remove fuel line clips

    2000 200hp Ficht. Modle#RE200FLSSH Serial#G04864098

    How do you remove the connectors that hold the fuel line to the bottom of the vapor canister. I'm afraid to break the red clips

    Many owners read old posts to learn how someone else did it (like those of us that don't know everything)

    He took the time to make another post, but kept the information to himself. duh.

    I have worked on many different types of fuel systems, I had not seen this type of quick connect before (so I came looking).

    On my Jeep you must remove the red clip before trying to remove the fitting, on my Ford truck you have to push on the fitting, and then push the clip in, on my Bosch fuel injection they are just high pressure clamps/threaded fittings.

    I have 2 manuals (SELOC 1992-2001 and 2002-2006 Evinrudes) and neither explains how to remove these fuel connectors.

    For anyone else that wants to get this connector off without breaking something:

    I found a pic of one of these that was removed and was able to decide that the red clip must be pushed IN to release it from the nipple on the fuel unit.
