where did you buy daiwa fuego??
let me know please
I have a Calais CL100A and it's the finest reel I've ever used--bar none!!!!
God bless,
Stephen
the 80 dollar BPS Extreme reel is very nice for the money. I think it is a pflueger reel and I can pitch a 1/4 ounce norie bug 30-50 feet with it.
I HATE sugarland
Diawa Pixy
how can you go wrong with 5.7 oz of pure smoothness?

miked5468, When I was at the FLW Championship this year I was able to test out the Fuego on a Kistler Helium Rod that I purchased and if I could only say one word it would be aweome. I have two of these reels on preorder so when they ship I will be one of the first to have them.

Diawa TDX 103's for me but I am changing to Shimano Curados'. The reason is the finish on the Diawa's, they look like they have been drug behind my tow vehicle. Maybe not quit that bad but the finish on those reels is very poor for a high end product and Diawa will do nothing for me, hence the change.
I use mostly curados and cronarchs but my fav is my calais nothing smoother or more refined than it.A little slice of heaven in my hands.
I've mainly used my Curado and Calcutta, but recently I picked up the Pflueger President low profile and have taken such a liking to it, my Shimanos have taken a back seat to it. I plan on getting one more to complete my battery. If I thought I could sell my Shimanos I would get 2 more...no kidding!
Let me know when you're ready to sell the Curado's. I'll still be using them long after you've replaced the Pfluegers.
Shimano Bantam 100B's. Smooth, durable, simple. If I could cast further with anything else, I couldn't get a good hook set anyway.

I have to say the Curado is the best bang for the buck and most dependable reel that I own. I also have a scorpion and dont like that as much as I like my Curados.
Mike
lews speed spool best reel i have ever used
Zebco 33 Snoopy reel. Other than that i guess my old Curados will have to do.

Tica Sculptor SL100
Smoothest reel I've ever owned.
I own and fish Shimano's and they are great, but you just can't beat the older Lew's. You can cast them as far or farther than Shimano's and never, ever, ever backlash.
For me, I like Shimano Calcutta Conquest from Japan - they are built in better quality than the sister Calcutta TE/GTs here. I like the fact I can use the same rod/reel for bay fishing, that's why I went with calcuttas.
