Today I was a boat captain for the High School invitational. It was a good event with 37 or 38 teams particapating.

Take off was between 7:00 AM, with check in at 2:30.

Water temperatures were between 65 and 70 degrees depending on your location.

The wind coming out of the South at 20 to 25 almost constantly all day long did beat us to death and made it extremely difficult on these young guys and gals. Most of the teams, however, hung in there dispite the tough conditions and there were lots of the teams bringing in fish.

    Clear Blue Sky

Air Temp: Morning 45 degrees. Afternoon 78 degrees.

Water Temp: 66 degrees to 71 degrees.

Light breeze's with only a slight chop on the water.

Fished a local club (Champaign County Bassmasters) tournament with 14 boats. The winning weight was eleven pounds and some ounces. Most of the guys had a pretty rough day trying to locate fish.

Crappie fishing. Clinton has been giving up some nice limits the past several week. Fish have been comming off brush in 8 to 10 ft. Of water on tiny tube jigs.

Water temps this past week were in the 45 to 55 degree range depending on the area you were in.
