    separating the seat from the post?

    These seats and posts are different than my last boat. Can the post be removed from the seat?

    It doesn’t detach other than removing the 4 bolts.

    Overtime with use, the post can come loose from the base as mine does it but it's from use not on purpose......

    Well that isn't what I was wanting to hear. Sure is inconvenient for travel.

    Go to the Springfield Marine website and you can see how it’s made and pulled apart. You can also check with a dealer. They have to put the seats together before delivery to the customer.
