1242xsv touch w/ g3 - unable to see 1' contours

Must be something I am overlooking... unboxed new 1242 and updated everything via AC. Downloaded area chart tiles and sync'ed to unit.

Zooming in on local lake shows 10' contours only...

Am I not holding my mouth right? Have a couple of 93sv that show it correctly...so pretty sure I am following the normal steps...

Ideas?

You selected the fishing chart right?

There is an option in the charts for how much detail you want to show. I always have mine set to “most”. Not sure if that changes countours thiugh?

Yes. Fishing chart selected and details at most. Everything same as on the 93sv’s (which work fine)

Ive noticed my 93sv plus shows more map detail than my 1040xs but I assume that because its a discontinued model. Doubt that the issue here

Going to try Garmin Express this time to update maps...lets see if that works...

Thanks for taking time to respond....just a weird way to handle maps (IMHO)...but actually only using this one for LiveScope anyway...
