At 1st full throttle punch after start up motor misses like no fuel or cold. it stops and motor runs as it should the rest of the trip. I do have a new set of plugs that I just got and need to install is there something else I should look at?

Need to be pumping bulb firm before EVERY engine start. It will not "stay tight" because once you start the engine the line and bulb are under a slight vacuum (low pressure).

No, only pointing towards the sky, when your squeezing it.
+1... arrow skyward WHILE PUMPING (orientation after that is not critical).
