I use a card 99% of the time, but I always try the keep a $100 bill and a couple of $20’s with me. I try to never break the $100, but it does happen. You just really never know.....

Rarely more than $100. If I need more I either use a CC or make an ATM withdrawal. I've never had a debit card as I don't want anything that links directly to my accounts that a thief could hack into.

$500-1000. Just depends, I’ve been in several situations where debit card machine was messed up and couldn’t take any cards for payments. Late Christmas I went to pickup hams for our employees for Christmas. Total was $1200 and change. I tried using my business credit card and it was denied. Tried using my personal card and it was denied. Then I went through my wallet and found enough cash to pay for them. Cashier looked at me like I had 4 heads. I like to hide it in several different spots in my wallet.
I realize younger guys don't carry much $ but I'm old school , don't spend much because I use card for fuel . Don't believe everything your step dad says .
