I've had a few different ones over the years and the cheap green and yellow Mister Twister works just as well as the others (better than the crappy Rapala I had) unless you want cordless.

Back in the day of the Rockfish below Barkley and Ky dams,
I used a GE from WalMart. They had a 1yr warranty. I always had a spare
on hand. I was cleaning lots of fish. The trigger would fail w/in the yr, I
would take it back for replacement. I still have a new and a used one.
I only bought the original two. LDS

Just bought a new Mr. Twister. Best that I've found and I filet a lot of crappies. Can be found for $20 on line.

I have a Pirahna ( sp?) Made by Mr. Twister. Supposedly better quality and more heavy duty. Have only used it twice. Worked great both times though.

Bubba Lith-ion. Hands down the best one I've used. They should be on sale here soon. Well worth the money.

    ^^^^^^

Your location reminds me of a trip to Souix Narrows on Lake of the Woods I made.
I stopped at a fishery and was amazed at how fast those guys were at fileting.
And I thought I was good.

I got a lithium Rapala and it's been great so far. When it dies, I'll be going with a Bubba Blade brand though. Bought a set of their regular knives and they are fantastic!
