    Ranger pros

Anyone know what so many long term Ranger pros are changing boats this year? I heard WR is dropping sponsorship but I see they still have some pros on their page.

Bottom line is that Ranger will sell boats regardless of who's in them or not in them in my opinion.

When they can’t get dealers the boats they need, why give 350 folks discounted boats?

Luke Dunkin said Ranger had planned on only keeping 25 pros on their staff. A few left on their own though. Can you really blame Ranger, pros don’t influence sales to anyone.

There have been some big names that left Ranger this year, I would think WRM would want that marketing visibility.

I know they will sell boats regardless of pro staff, the quality of the brand isn't a question.

With aluminum rigs trending, I've often wondered why Ranger hasn't pushed a few of their staff to run a tin rig on tour? Range has a boat that would be perfect in the 198.

BassCatBoats said that WRM sold over 700 boats in the third quarter to first time buyers, they don’t need tournament anglers. (Hopefully that was the number said, I think it was)

James John, exactly. I'm all for pro's getting their deals, but if the goal is to drive sales to dealers, yet dealers can't get the boats, something has to give. Huge supply chain problem.

Probably because the staff don't want to die. They might if it wasn't for the "one boat all season" rule but the 198 is not nearly big or stable enough for the bigger waters that these tours fish especially if the boat needs to hold a marshal or cameraman.

This is the first time I’ve heard anything about it too you’d have thought news like this would have been all over The BBC and the other fishing sites.

Do a little checking around and get back to us this might just be a rumor created to start a thread giving Ranger some free advertising
