St. Croix makes a 6’2 in their avid line. I’m 5’6 and use it for my jerkbaits. Works great!!

I would suggest he contact a custom rod builder that can make a rod, just right for him.

Any 6’ 6” medium action rod with a shorter than normal handle will work. Or, buy a 6’ 9” rod and have a couple inches cut off of the handle.

I bought a trio of 6 ft all stars this winter. Gonna be good for jerkbait. The ike rod was on my list. a 6 ft or so pistol grip be nice. I had an old Abu pistol grip wayyyy back. Like to get one of those someday.

Shimano crucial in a 6'3" is an awesome jerk bait rod. I'm not positive that they still make it though...

Loomis made a cinnamon 6’3” jerkbait rod that I love. I’m not sure if they still make it.

I just built a 6’4” jerk bait rod for a customer. He loves it. I don’t like rods any shorter than 6’6” and even then I’d prefer a bit longer. And I’m not a tall guy by any definition. Find one the length you want or get one built. Or get a 6’6” with a long, full cork grip and cut off 2 inches from the grip.
