    Concrete Question

This is a pic of my pool cover anchor in the pool deck. The concrete is starting to flake and crater around all of them. Anybody have any recommendations as to how to fix this, or at least prevent from getting worse?

Your cover spring may be busting it loose from a snow load then melting takes pressure off and springs move a little grinding the concrete. I would place a small cedar board siding style under the spring to prevent wear.

It actually started flaking like that when the anchor was installed.

Looks like freeze damage to me. Maybe seal around the anchors with epoxy.

No the concrete is fracture between the cream they brought to the top while troweling. I can use hydraulic cement to patch but it will be a little darker and smother. Looks like you have a broom finish. You can try a stiff brush to match.

That’s probably about the extent of what you’ll see. Just the cream around that area during finishing. All good usually under that 1/4”.

A couple of mine ended up like that at install. I used an epoxy and they look fine.
