    Angry USPS strikes again !!!

Bought a rod from a BBC member (a $300 rod). Went to the post office to pick up. It was broken in half, shipped in a TW tube. It was shipped with no insurance and my question is do I have any recourse with USPS to get reimbursed?
    Thanks for any suggestions. 8980BB2F-122F-47A0-A492-8931C736D73E.jpeg

Seller should refund your money and take the loss.
That is if they’re a stand up seller.

Why was it shipped no insurance? Sounds like whoever you bought it from owes you 300. They can get their money back from usps.

Did you request it to be shipped “no insurance “? If not then the seller owes you your money back.

I agree. Everything I have sold on here or TFF (of any substantial value) I have paid for the insurance on shipping. I haven't needed it yet, but my thought is that it is still mine until the buyer receives and inspects the item.

If you didn't request and pay for the insurance it's on you.

No it isn't that's dumb. If you order something from a store and it doesn't get there in one piece do they tell you oh, you didnt buy the shipping insurance?

So who pays for insurance on something like this the shipper or the buyer? I thought it was the shipper.

They said I could take it or leave it because it has this sticker on it. A972F703-8F2C-497F-8585-77368B20E5FA.jpeg

It happens to us all when we ship or receive in the cardboard tubes. Deny the shipment and have them send it back to the seller. He can deal refund your $$.

The shipper should buy insurance or gamble that nothing will happen.

Oh no. It's not like when they left it on the porch. By picking it up, you have the choice to refuse it and have it sent back to shipper. Don't touch it

As often as this seems to occur you would think all these shipping companies would have special training in regards to dealing with this type of container for shipment!

Crappy job of packing. I don't see any fault on USPS for that packaging job. All on the seller. Always purchase insurance on fragile packages.
