    Roundabouts

Why on earth can people not figure these out? They are meant to alleviate traffic, not make it worse

Same people that have a problem with them also have problems with merging and yielding.

Yep... The roundabout introduces the principle of "Left of Way" when most folks have yet to figure out "Right of Way".

Lol funny you mention this, I was just ranting earlier when I was going through a roundabout coming back from lunch after a young woman almost nailed me, didn't even slow down or look as she was "yielding" right. They're a very simple concept, and more convenient than stoplights in most situations if your brain IQ is more than 4.

Since when? Come off the Bourne Bridge and you'll know. Rotary's are the way of life in NE. You may need to move back to NJ and get re-educated on them.

Round abouts are the best way to handle a 4 way intersection , if you have the room to put a correct size one in . I do road striping and of the double lane ones can confuse some people but it beats sitting at a stop sign for ten minutes .

We recently had a four way stop (notorious for long backups) converted to a "Traffic Circle" (round-a-bout). its Great!, I have yet to see a backup since the conversion.

They should be designed with a truck apron for the trailer to off track on to. That is how he design ours anyway

The main thing roundabouts accomplish is they slow traffic so when there is an accident it usually is injury free. You just don't have a vehicle blasting through a stop sign or red light at 50 mph.
