    Tail up and come out on the seam, same on a worm. If tail down on a worm, you have a dead worm.

    To be clear, tail up I mean the hump is up on a worm and come out on the seam, as the bottom lure shows. I do the same on a grub

    tail down for keeping bait up in water and tail up for keeping lower.

    You good. Hump up same as on a worm. Hump down on a worm it just goes into the ground, dead worm.

    I've always been told tail goes the same direction as the hook. So up........but you can use it anyway - up or down.
