Been getting fresh Oklahoma corn in Missouri for the last week for 50 cents and ear. Local crop should come to market in a week, I expect 40 to 50 cents an ear.

I just bought two ears for 80 cents in Lexington, GA. Agree however that deer corn has skyrocketed.

Growers don't set market pricing, period. You'll know the price just before arrival. It can go pure nuts in a day, or even less.

Your a self proclaimed expert on pretty much every subject huh? I can tell from these posts, your certainly no expert on modern farming!

You shouldn't have to take a loss. If I want some corn, pretty sure I can and will spend 5, 6 bucks for a dozen.

while we're on the subject of corn, how can you tell if the field is sweet corn or just regular feed corn?

Have to look under the tassel.

Corn one of the few vegetables you get to enjoy twice.
