Prices has gone up. When I bought my first house home heating oil went from 16 cents to 19 cents a gallon, it was a killer for budgets. Our house payment with a 6% mortgage was $163.98.
My hot water and house heating with baseboard heat is oil. I just got a small delivery of 100 gallons or so for $500.00. It will get me until Winter when I hope the price will come down some.
Hope your propane comes down too.
$1.89 with owned tank.

What in the hell are you heating that you burn that much? I only ask because I live in a small house in Minnesota and have my furnace, water heater, and dryer all on Natural Gas and even with our cold winters I am less than 800 a year annually for my gas bill. Combined between electric and gas I am less than 2 grand a year and I keep the AC set to Morgue.
Just paid $2.69 and that was their summer special price if tank is filled! It was running around $3.29 before.
6.69 a gallon here .You guys got nothing to bitch about.

Just paid 2.29 here in the Ozarks, 500 gallon tank will generally last a year. Our lake home, only use it about once a month in winter. We keep thermostat around 55 when not there.
Just quoted $3.49
Summer fill here is 2.30 gal. Budget billing 2.70 gallon for year. About 700.00 more total than last year. Shop around as different companies have higher prices. I use local Farm Bureau Co-op as it’s the cheapest price of all.
Move to Florida along with everyone else relocated.
100% electric home, <$2,000/year in energy costs.
A grain farm down the road from me just filled an 8000 gallon tank. They use it to dry corn at the rate of 2000 gallons every 24 hours. Don't know what they paid, but I sure wouldn't want that bill.
Paid $2.99/gallon for 300 gallons this week.
I burn wood.
