I have a 2000 model Yamaha OX66 225. When I shift it into gear I get an knocking sound as the prop rotates. Take it out of gear it stops. The prop has no slack in it. It is tight. Anyone experienced this.

Yep I’ve had the same thing happen to me once . Lost a tooth on the pinion gear
Same here....Lower unit gear time
