Swapping out old lid struts and considering going from stock 30# to 40#

I have a 12 Z519 and the front center locker is currently a 10” 30# and considering going up to a 10” 40#. Has anyone made this maintenance upgrade and did the added 10# of pressure cause any issues?

I have done it. No problems at all.

If the current 30# strut holds the lid open you don't gain anything by the increase.

I went to the 40# and it's great !! The lid actually opens itself when you reach half way, LOL !!!

Found the gas shocks for my 2006 Ranger 519VX at a great price and delivery was quick. They should be a sponsor on here.

I do not believe 10 lbs of compression force will be detrimental and from the sounds of things, it should have been 40 feom the start. Thanks!
