Formula 1 first race weekend - Bahrain - Who ya got?

I don't think anyone is betting against Red Bull and Verstappen but the form there back it seems to have shaken up. Aston Martin seems quick while McLaren seems to have lost some pace. Now there are a lot of games played in testing but with McLaren you can see it in Norris's face he is not real happy.

Practice 1 in about 8 hours!

    You left out Mercedes :-)
i live about 15 min drive from the Canadian Gp - Gilles villeneuve - circuit.
I think George Russell might be a surprise this year.

Last thing I saw form Lewis was still about proposing. Would love to see Russell run at the front. I love the GV circuit. The Wall of Champions is a classic story and great name for the exit of the last chicane.

I think Benz in in trouble to be honest.

Since we are on a fishing page. I once had a long chat with Takahiro Omori who is big F1 fan.

He told me he attended the Monaco and Canadian gp a few times.

That would be very cool. I can see Tak as an F1 fan for sure. Monaco is a dream, really not a great race just iconic though.

Could not agree more! They stopped testing early the car was so freaking good. That never happens in F1, testing is like gold.

I was reading the testing times have been faster than the pole last year already and the cars havent even been turned up.

I have cut the cable everywhere else but I do pony up for F1 but what you get is unreal. In car cams from everyone, Radio comms, and thier pre race and tech stuff is really good.

Hoping maybe Haas can be in the "mid field" this year.

Max may run away with it. I hope it's at least competitive this year. Will be interesting to see how Mercedes performs?

After P1 sure looks like the Aston Martin improvements are real. McLaren may be better than they looked in testing.

Looks like the 10% less time in the wind tunnel ( penalty for cheating last year) didn't effect RB, well played!

LMAO, true!! I think the addition time is what helped the midfield. Aston Martins gains are supposedly aero work. Practice 2 starts shortly and that is when they will really have to finally show thier hand. I bet they pick up ~2 seconds a lap.

That penalty hasn't taken effect yet. The reduced wind tunnel time is for this season so don't expect to see that hurt them until later this year and the start of 2024.
