    Frogging

Should I go with straight braid or add a leader?

If you are throwing a frog where you should be throwing a frog, why would you need to Black Sharpie your line?

    Straight braid.

That's like the guy who insisted that I had to throw A-Rig on Fluorocarbon so the fish would not see the line. (Never mind the 8 feet of stainless steel wire.)

Straight braid just use a black marker on the first few feet to camo it out.

Braid. Bass don’t care about the line.

if anyone is using a leader while throwing a frog, they're not good at frog fishing.

If we are talking topwater frogs you might want to rethink blacking out the line. Against a sunny sky the bass can see a dark color easier than a bright color.

However, I do not frog fish so what do I know. Also, I am a firm believer that line color rarely matters unless we are talking clear water finesse fishing.

What knot? I don't seem to get as good walking action as I do out of mono. Seems the only knot for braid is palomar.

I wouldn't get too caught up darkening the first few feet of braid. I use a grey colored brand for frog fishing. No lack of bites at all.

65 pound braid with a polamar knot works well. I like to take spike it and put a bright colored stripe on the top of my frog. That makes it easier to see if they miss it.

Straight braid. Don’t need to worry about coloring the line imo. I’ve got a buddy that uses straight braid for everything. His line is white from never changing it and he catches plenty of fish lol

Although I do not use braid for everything most of mine is solid white. Now, I do color my line occasionally when I think of it as I fish it with jigs and T rigs a lot, mostly around grass. However, I cannot say I notice a difference in the number of bites I get.
