Palomar works just fine. Never had a knot issue. Some frogs walk better than others. I put a split ring on ones that don’t and it solves it.
Nooooooooo, leader!

Like all have said, straight braid.
But watching live today Christie colored his with a sharpie. That tells me all I need to know.
I’m a frog fishing addict. Straight braid.. the marker is a confidence thing for me. I think it might get me just one more big bite so I color 3 or 4 feet above the frog.
Straight braid , 65lb power pro
Straight braid ! 65# for mat fishing ! 50# for open water ! I usually have at least 2 frog rods on deck ! a walking frog and a pop’n frog ! tighten the drag and hammer it home !
Straight braid, I throw 50# and have never broken it but 65 works too. Bobbys Perfect or Launch Frog are prob the two i'd start with for better hookup ratio and castability. Spros are super popular but I spend more time squeezing the water out of them than fishing

Guess my Louisiana roots are still there. I read the title and was expecting a discussion on what light to use, and whether or not you could gig them, or had to catch them by hand.
In Louisiana, "frogging" is catching frogs. "Throwing a frog" is using a frog to catch fish. Believe it or not, frogging is a pretty decent date night.
Nothing but braid
Straight braid any color. They are too busy going for the frog to notice line color.
I'm not a frogger. What rod do you guys use?
