    Garmin 1243xsv vs 8612xsv

Seems like the 1243 has bigger screen display from specs.
besides the dual channel port and better resolution what else is there on 8600.

can the 1243xsv show traditional sonar and side scan at same time with a 3-1 transducer with the only
    1 port.

I think same software, just a "cheaper" solution to the 8612.......Yes, you can view the sonar and imaging at the same time.

The resolution of the 8612 is much higher at 1920 x 1080 pixels vs 1280 x 800 pixels for the 1243xsv.

    thanks for reply.

I understand the 86 series has livescope built it. Will you still need the black box if wanted to connect LVS34 or LVS62

It has a LS connection for the LVS12 not the 32 or 34. With the 12 you only get partial screen views. Also LVS12 has been discontinued.

thank you that helps. Was thinking the 86 series would save me from adding another module but guess there’s no way around that if I’m planning to run the LVS62

No way around it. You need full setup for the LVS62.
