    Prescription Sunglasses

Any recommendations on prescription polarized sunglasses. I know all the major brands can get them but I’m tired of spending $350-$400 for a pair. Lost my Wiley X’s this past weekend in the lake.

Walmart is where I get mine, think 150-200 after a little help from
Insurance. They are polarized and work great.

I have been wearing prescription sunglasses for at least ten years. I have had the same pair of Maui Jims during this period. Just bought a new pair of Maui Jims. I paid $319.00 for the glasses. Progressives, polarized lenses will most likely be around $400.00. Best there is.

Bought my first pair over 10 years ago and have not gone without them. Hopefully the next pair will be Costa's.

I’ve been getting them from Shady Rays and have had a lot of luck.

My cataract surgery was cheaper than some of these prescription sun glasses. And yes I use Costas. I only need the readers now though.

I got a pair of prescription, polarized, bifocal Raybans from Walmart and they’re fine.

Your vision has not changed in 10 years. Darn that’s good.

Progressive lens costas we’re almost $800 8 years ago. Old only be bought through an optometrist. Replaced them with progressive polarized Costco glasses for around $225. Very happy with their performance. The costas basically melted - I’m assuming from sunscreen.

Both Sams Club and Costco have great eye glass selections. I would try them for half the price and a very good product.

I could use some, but after reading this I think I’ll pass until I absolutely need them.

I already have to purchase 2 pair of prescription safety glasses a year. I don't buy cheap either. Just a harsher environment. Insurance covers most of one pair. But the second pair is on me. Prescriptions are only good for a year. My vision according to my ophthalmologist tells me my vision is still changing. So one can understand why I use the Cocoons. For the money they really are good sunglasses.
