    Best $100 Casting Bass Rod?

Hello, what are some suggestions for the best casting rod I can buy for $100. Looking for an all purpose rod for mainly worming, pitching, flippin. There are a lot out there. I used to buy the Falcon Buccoo series for $100 and loved those but have not bought any recently since they made in China now. I loved the buccoo though. Been years since I have bought a new rod and don't know who makes the best value these days. Thanks

I'm immediately breaking your $100 rule but the St. Croix bass X is everything you need in a rod I pair them with SLX reels. Good number of different actions I think they are $125.

SLX rod seems good for right at $100. I have one coming in the mail now so I can try it out.

Yeah, My first thought is to go up in price a little to the Falcon Lowrider as a very good value. I love all my falcons, the new ones not made in the USA may be even better than my old ones, just saying, but understand if you want to keep in USA. But other options of rods that I know are good quality is the Dobyns Maverick series or the Powell diesel series, not sure if they are made in the USA or not.

I would look at the Daiwa Tatula XT rods. We bought a few as raffle prizes in our club and they are actually really nice. Right at $100.

At that $100 price point, you are more or less locked into made in china rods.

My recommendation would be either the Fenwick HMG (~$140), Fenwick HMX (~$100), Abu Garcia Veritas (~$130), or Abu Garcia JLee (~$90). I own all these rods and love them all.

Falcon Bucoo or for a few more the Lowrider. I prefer the cork handle of the Lowrider but the Bucoo is hard to beat especially when canoeing or kayaking.

Falcon EVO 7’3” Heavy from Walmart. Best $80 I’ve spent in awhile. I like it better than my St. Croix bass x 7’4” heavy, although they are slightly different rods with similar specs, I do like bass x also, just make sure you get the latest one with red/gray graphics( better reel seat), not the red/green ones. I’d look at Daiwa Tatula Xt, they look legit. Carbonlite rods are nice too. Dobyns colt feels nice too.

abu garcia veritas is my go to rod.. Sometimes can get them for only 79.99. They are stiffer than most and fishing a lot of grass areas I prefer that.

Bucco's and Garcia rods are made in China. I have both, I try to buy U.S. made but out guess myself sometimes. They're decent rods though.

Fenwick HMG, Ark Tharp series, St Croix Bass X would be my recommendations in that price range. When onsale they can all be gotten for that range. If you're willing to buy 2, Ark has a buy one get one on the reinforcer.

Dobyns Maverick. Feels just about the same to me as the Fury just foam grips instead of cork
