Anybody ever use fishing line to sew with?

Have an almost new pair of house shoes that the rubber bottom was splitting where it rounded up the side. Some 12 mono and a few minutes and good as new for now anyway.

I've used Kevlar fly tying thread to mend a lot of my ice fishing and winter gear.

I've used braid to sew up a few things. The seams on the seats of my deck boat were coming apart and I used braid to sew them back together. It works pretty good and not stiff like mono would be.

Can't say I've ever used it for sewing, but here recently I've been using 15# braid to pull teeth out of my 6 year old daughter.

Lately my wife uses 30# braid to sew up our dog beds when they decide to tear them up.

Yeah, and I guess inflation has done caught up with the tooth fairy as well. We used to get $1/tooth when I was a kid. My daughter told me some friends in her class get $5 or $10/tooth.

I have an EZ-UP that got a tear at the peak. I used some 15# P-Line and an upholstery needle to sew it up. It's held for over 5 years now.

Thankful Once Again “The No Sip Rule When Reading the BBC”was in force that would have been a major screen cleaner and short circuited the Keyboard.

15 lb Test might be a tad uncomfortable but suppose that extra strength is needed when one is dealing with a 10 inch Power Worm.

It was overkill, 4 lb Flouro would have been just fine!
