Not even a close debate for me its 7 ft. I have multiple 844 rods that get used every single trip.
I am a multi-technique fisherman so my rods are from 6'3" to 7'6" mostly home built Rainshadow's.
But I have caught the most on my 6'9" rods (spinnerbait, buzzbait and skipping jig combos). Next would be the 7'3" crankbait rods. These are 7'6" shortened to 7'3" Rainshadow Revelation CB Blanks.

Used to be 7' 6" ML but its now 7' 3" M and used for something else. My medium light artist formally known as 7' 6" was my drop shot rod and did the most damage for me the last 10 years and beyond.
I catch a lot of fish on a jerk so 6'10" I also catch a lot of fish on a jig so 7'3" but I also catch a lot of fish on a T-rig so 7'6" to 7'9". Hell I don't know, I think I have too many rods.

7’ here, too, although in the past 3-4 years the rods I use most [and catch the most on] have been 7’3” and 7’4”. It’s remarkable how soon we get accustomed to a certain feel and then anything different feels “off.” I have one bait casting rod that’s only 6’6”—bought it specifically for lighter lures—and every time I pick it up any more it feels weird.
