what is your favorite indiana bait?

What is your favorite or productive way to catch bass in Indiana? My favorite is late summer topwaters for smallmouth, but that is usually only 3 trips. Probably catch more pitching plastics than anything else.

When i take the kayak to white river or other creeks i only use a plastic craw on a ewg hook.
On reservoirs probably a worm is what i use mostly.

Depends on the time of year and which body of water I'm fishing. Soft plastics and jigs tend to work well in the northern lakes of Indiana.

Used to fish southern Michigan lakes exclusively but not now having moved south to Greensburg. It has taken a full year but have the lake figured out. Used to fish frogs and soft plastics, mostly Senko type baits. Now its sq bills and buzzbaits. What a change!

Buzzbaits are more fun than senko's for sure.

I do the best with Texas rigged worms or lizards and shakey heads.
