That’s incorrect. Find a local welder. They can weld or should be able to.

Don't even have to take apart the oil in it help keep it cool

Thank you for the replies, however problem is now worse prop shaft is bent. Think I am going to replace the lower unit.
by the time labor and parts cost I can just drop the bad unit and put in a new one for almost the same money.
