I don’t want to get my truck broken into and was looking for a recommendation for ramps to put in.
Pettit Bay is a pretty safe looking place.
Chicken Creek or Burnt Cabin would be my recommendations.
I always launch at state park at the dam. Park police patrol it well and I’ve never had a problem there. Boat ramp is not the greatest, but not too bad. I’ll trade that for security.

We used Chicken Creek this past weekend and it was surprisingly empty. Not sure where everyone else was putting in, but there were boats in every pocket we tried. Fishing was tough in the high winds, but we caught a few Smallmouth and I will definitely be back.
It’s almost time! Caught a few smallmouth Tuesday afternoon with this one being the biggest.
