Toledo Bend kicks out a 13.61lb Sharelunker

    TP&W press release:

Toledo Bend is on the board with ShareLunker #658! Join us in congratulating Tracy Adair of Hemphill for his 13.61 pound catch of a lifetime. Done without forward facing sonar but with forward thinking for the future of Bigger, Better Bass in Texas. Thank you Tracy for trusting us to spawn her and create many more big ol beauties for future anglers.

That’s awesome! Congrats to the angler for catching a fish of a lifetime! The Sharelunker program is great for the sport, but doesn’t get as much attention as it should.

They get returned to the lake they are caught from. They just spawn them at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center in Athens and then return the fish it the lake. The fry are then grown and stocked in various lakes in the state.
